Downtown Shreveport is proud to welcome preservationists, planners, historians, architects, and advocates from across the state for the 44th Annual Louisiana Preservation Conference, hosted by the Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation. Mark your calendars for April 24 and 25, 2025, as this two-day event will turn our historic downtown into a hub of learning, networking, and celebration of Louisiana’s architectural and cultural heritage.
This year’s conference is packed with diverse programming that spans technical training, thought-provoking discussions, and practical tools for communities working to preserve the places that tell our shared story. From revitalizing historic neighborhoods to shaping Louisiana’s next State Historic Preservation Plan, attendees will engage with preservation topics that are both timely and deeply rooted in place.
